As a technical artist I am passionate about all the elements of design. I use my knowledge of materials and processes to pursue the realisation of a concept from the design stage through to construction.

My degree gave me a variety of skills, from draftmanship and designing, through to mould-making, sculpture, fabrication, and animation. My particular passion for animation lead to my making an animated short 'Ape Escape' in the final major project of my degree course at Wimbledon School of Art. I realised all aspects of the project myself, pursuing the concept, character design, puppet and set build, shoot and the post-production, as well as writing and performing the soundtrack.

For the film I was lucky enough to recieve a first class honours as well as being nominated for the Notcutts award. The film has since been shown in a number of different exhibitions. Throughout my course I have worked in a number of different capacities as a model-maker, puppet-maker, draftsmen and graphic designer, and in general film effects work.
